The Dominican Republic added 39 deaths from COVID-19 and 2,137 new infections in the last two days, for an accumulated 1,840 deaths and 98,776 positive cases, as reported this Saturday by the Ministry of Public Health. The data is contained in bulletins # 169, corresponding to September 3, and # 170, of day 4, both released this Saturday by the health authorities, which number 25,025 active cases.
Furthermore, they reported that 71,901 people have recovered from the disease. According to both reports, in the last two days 14,444 PRC tests were processed, of which 11,261 correspond to patients who had it done for the first time and 3,183 to people who seek to confirm if they are still infected. To date, 391,190 PRC samples have been processed in the country and 292,424 cases have been discarded.
